JD Sports

VANTA ATHLETICS, DTX (MAY 2026)

TEDRIC TAYLOR’S JD SPORTS ACTIVATION TRANSLATED HIS STUDIO PRACTICE INTO A LIVE, PARTICIPATORY EXPERIENCE, USING SPRAY PAINT, STENCILS, AND CUSTOM GRAPHIC MARKS TO CREATE ONE-OF-ONE GARMENTS ON SITE. WORKING WITHIN A HIGH-ENERGY COMMUNITY SETTING, TAYLOR TREATED APPAREL AS AN EXTENSION OF THE CANVAS, MERGING ART, SPORT, FASHION, AND PERFORMANCE THROUGH REAL-TIME CUSTOMIZATION.
THE ACTIVATION EXPANDED HIS VISUAL LANGUAGE BEYOND TRADITIONAL OBJECTS AND INTO CULTURAL EXPERIENCE—POSITIONING THE ARTIST NOT ONLY AS A MAKER OF IMAGES, BUT AS A CREATIVE FORCE CAPABLE OF SHAPING HOW BRANDS, PEOPLE, AND ENVIRONMENTS INTERACT.

Rollin' in the deep

DEEP ELLUM, TX (APRIL 2026)

rollin’ in the deep is a public mural built from my se7en character language and expanded at architectural scale. installed in deep ellum, the work uses white linework, restrained color, and clustered repetition to create a field of movement across a black wall. the composition is structured around 91 total characters — 49 in white and 42 in color — giving the piece an internal order beneath its spontaneity.
the mural moves like a split body: one force gathering on the left, color and energy transmitting through the center, and a second state forming on the right. that tension between source, release, and consequence gives the work its deeper narrative. at surface level, the piece reads as playful, rhythmic, and alive. underneath, it carries ideas of temptation, overflow, and transformation.
rollin’ in the deep marked an important step in translating my visual system from canvas into the street. it became proof that the se7en language could hold scale, structure, and public presence without losing its psychological charge.

ARIYO (CREATIVE DIRECTION)

TALLEY DUNN GALLERY, DTX (MARCH 2026)

Founded by Ivy Winfrey, the voice of the Dallas Mavericks and a Forbes 30 Under 30 nominee, Two Bags by Ivy is an accessories brand built around duality, personal expression, and the idea of carrying multiple truths at once
Tedric Taylor served as Creative Director for Two Bags by Ivy’s installation- ARIYO at Talley Dunn Gallery, translating that philosophy into a fully realized spatial experience.
Through sculptural product displays, floral interventions, sports-inspired fashion, and carefully composed gallery moments, Taylor transformed the space into an environment where handbags functioned as both objects of design and storytelling devices.
The installation moved fluidly between fashion, fine art, sport, and cultural symbolism—expanding Two Bags by Ivy beyond product presentation and demonstrating Taylor’s ability to build immersive brand worlds through art direction, spatial narrative, and experiential design.
