Rollin' in the deep

DEEP ELLUM, TX (APRIL 2026)

rollin’ in the deep is a public mural built from my se7en character language and expanded at architectural scale. installed in deep ellum, the work uses white linework, restrained color, and clustered repetition to create a field of movement across a black wall. the composition is structured around 91 total characters — 49 in white and 42 in color — giving the piece an internal order beneath its spontaneity.
the mural moves like a split body: one force gathering on the left, color and energy transmitting through the center, and a second state forming on the right. that tension between source, release, and consequence gives the work its deeper narrative. at surface level, the piece reads as playful, rhythmic, and alive. underneath, it carries ideas of temptation, overflow, and transformation.
rollin’ in the deep marked an important step in translating my visual system from canvas into the street. it became proof that the se7en language could hold scale, structure, and public presence without losing its psychological charge.
